BURNS' WEEK JANUARY 19-25, 2019
Kelowna Scottish country dancers are frequently asked to perform especially during Burns' week. Dancers were very pleased to dance at Sandalwood and Missionwood retirement communities this year. (Thanks to George Held, Missionwood for taking photos and videos).
Our programme started with John piping in the haggis followed by Ian's “Address to the Haggis".
Dancers took to the floor with Good Hearted Glasgow, The Rose Garden, Flowers of Edinburgh, City of Belfast, and De'il Amang the Tailors. Residents enjoyed hearing some history of "the kilt and tartans" and then a song from Maggie. After a sing-a-long, the evening ended with a rendition of "Auld Lang Syne"!

Penticton Scottish Festival Burns' Night, January 19, 2019.
A couple of Kelowna dancers joined the Naramata SCD at the Penticton Scottish Festival. A sold out crowd of over 240 people attended! Click on the videos (left and below). Enjoy the show!
